Kathy and I went down to Mexico recently to celebrate our engagement. We had a blast at an all inclusive hotel south of town called the Barcelo La Jolla de Mismaloya.
The best decision we made was when we decided to go the "All Inclusive" route which basically means you don't have to pay for food or drinks. It is a little more expensive at the onset of the trip but by the end, we were really glad that we didn't have to sign off on any outstanding bar tabs... which would have been sizely.
I highly recommend, if you are burned out, stressed, or just needing some R&R, heading down to visit our wonderful neighbors to the south. Oh, and bring LOTS of sunscreen.
